Dr Nick McCarthy
Born and raised locally, Dr McCarthy graduated from UWA in 2003, and has worked in private practice since then. In 2007, he completed his primary examinations for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and in 2013, he completed a two year post-graduate diploma in aesthetic dentistry from the prestigious King’s College in London, passing with distinction. His passion for continuing education has gained him a wealth of knowledge in a wide range of areas of dentistry. His main areas of professional interest are in non-destructive dentistry, and non-invasive smile enhancement as well as the study and practice of dental implant treatments. He is an active member of the ADA, and is also a member of the Branemark Dental Implant Study Club of WA.
He looks forward to completing further post-graduate studies in general dentistry in the future, with a long term view of becoming involved with teaching and academia in dentistry.
Dr Siri Bjelland
Dr Siri Bjelland grew up locally and has over 25 years experience in the dental field, initially graduating as a Dental Therapist from Curtin University. She spent four enjoyable years providing dental treatment for children in different parts of country WA. This time inspired her to go on to further study and she completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2001, graduating with several academic and clinical awards.
Dr Bjelland is an active member of the Australian Dental Association and enjoys keeping up to date by attending continuing education courses and conferences.
Dr Bjelland enjoys the variety of general practice and providing care for all ages. In particular the most rewarding aspect of dentistry is helping patients overcome any fears or anxiety they may have through her gentle and caring approach.
She does her utmost to ensure that dental visits are as relaxed and comfortable as possible and looks forward to providing the highest level of dental care to all her patients.
