His main areas of professional interest include non-destructive dentistry, non-invasive smile enhancement and dental implant treatments. In all cases, he focuses on using multiple disciplines to achieve optimum outcomes with minimal long term impact. Nick is fascinated by the new opportunities in aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry offered by evolving technologies including 3D imaging and printing. He is an active member of the ADA and is also a contributing member of the Nobel Biocare Young Dentists Study Club of WA.
In the future, Dr McCarthy looks forward to completing further post-graduate studies in general dentistry and contributing to the development of the next generation of dentists by entering teaching and academia.

In her spare time she enjoys kite surfing, Pilates and Bachata dancing.
Dr Claudia Marino
Dr Claudia is a true ‘Perthian’, born, raised and educated here, first with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and then later pursuing her childhood dream and completing the Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
Throughout her dental school years, she began working at Lifecare to solidify her learning and gain some extra real world experience, first assisting the senior dentists and then assisting Principal Dentist Dr Alex. It is in these years where she truly came to believe in the mission statement ‘high quality care in a timely manner’ is not only possible, but should be what all patients experience in any appointment.
While appreciating all aspects of dentistry, she is particularly fond of preventative intervention for kids and adults alike. She has also really come to enjoy the more aesthetic aspects of the profession. You can expect a very open, relaxed and unprejudiced attitude to match an enthusiastic chatty personality, and even under the mask rest assured she wears a smile.
Outside of dentistry, you can bet Claudia is in the kitchen, where she loves to experiment with traditional recipes reflecting her Italian heritage. She also is very interested in fashion and interior architecture, but her Perth roots reflect by loving nothing more than a beachside walk.
