Dr Ashlee Bence

Dr Bence grew up in Melbourne where she completed a Bachelor of Nursing with Honours and a Post Graduate in Critical Care Nursing with Distinction. She worked in intensive care, coronary care and emergency for 6 years before moving to Perth to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine at UWA.

Ash enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a keen interest in health promotion, disease prevention, endodontics and and non-destructive restorative care. Known for her gentle touch and comforting chairside manner, Ash believes in building rapport with her patients, to ensure they feel relaxed from the moment they walk in. Beyond her dental expertise, she has also been known to serenade her patients with the soothing melodies of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Beyond the clinic, her heart lies in volunteering for organizations dedicated to caring for our more vulnerable patients around WA. Driven by her commitment to health equality, she lends her time and skills to both the Kimberley Dental Team and The National Dental Foundation.

Away from dentistry, Ash leads quite an active lifestyle. She is currently training hard for her first ICNWA fitness comp and can be found at the gym or running riverside in East Fremantle.
