Family Dentistry
We are a family friendly practice that welcomes every member of your family and patients of all ages. We have seen multi generations of Applecross patients attend our dental surgery over the last 50 years. All patients are welcome at Applecross Dental Care, from toddlers through to valued patients in their 90s.
Dental Emergencies
Toothaches, broken teeth from disintegrated fillings, infections and sporting injuries can all result in distressing and painful dental emergencies. We aim to treat all emergency dental patients as soon as possible to minimise distress and discomfort and set aside appointment time each weekday to cater for emergency bookings.
Orthodontics
If you have crooked or crowded teeth, an overbite or underbite, you may be interested in orthodontics or teeth straightening for cosmetic reasons or greater comfort. Dr McCarthy is a certified Invisalign provider and also a certified Advanced Inman Aligner provider. For more complex or higher risk cases, we have excellent relationships with specialist orthodontists and can provide guidance on your treatment and aesthetic outcome.
Dental Implants
Today, dental implants are the preferred mode of replacing missing teeth and give a much more natural looking results than older style dentures. The team at Applecross Dental Care has a broad range of experience in the surgical placement of dental implants, to replace one or more lost teeth. We are also able to provide natural looking crowns to restore a single tooth or if required, replace all your teeth with implant-supported prosthetic teeth in acrylic and ceramics. Dental implants are among the most popular options for long lasting, natural looking and comfortable permanent tooth replacement.
Cosmetic Dentistry
At Applecross Dental Care, we are focussed on offering aesthetic dentistry solutions that enhance your smile in a natural looking way. Dr Nick McCarthy completed a two-year post-graduate diploma in aesthetic dentistry with distinction from King’s College in London and uses the latest techniques to model and plan cosmetic dentistry outcomes for his patients.
Oral Surgery
Pain or discomfort in the mouth, gums or jaw resulting from impacted wisdom teeth or other oral health issues, may require oral surgery. Our dentists have extensive experience in removing impacted wisdom teeth under intravenous sedation and performing other extractions using a range of pain management techniques. Your safety, comfort and peace of mind is our top priority when undertaking oral surgery.
Sleep (Twilight) Dentistry
Anxiety about a visit to the dentist can cause patients to put off necessary care, resulting in poor dental and overall health outcomes. We are dedicated to addressing the concerns of nervous patients so that everyone can access high quality, ongoing care for their teeth.
